With J.K. Rowling’s first book coming out since the final “Harry Potter” novel, she is back in the spotlight.
“A Casual Vacancy” will hit stores Thursday, and is quite a departure from her stories about Harry and the magical world in which he resides. It’s a fiction novel written for adults about a local election in a small town in England.
I’ll be picking up a copy on Thursday, and I am hoping that Rowling will continue to have success post-HP.
If you’re also awaiting her new book, check out this great piece on the author in The New Yorker to bide you over until Thursday.
